Parents are worried about not having school places sorted for the 2026/27 school year.
An Offaly TD is expressing concerns over school places for students entering second level education in the next academic year.
Despite the rollout of a new online admissions system and promises of increased special needs supports, Deputy Carol Nolan is highlighting that parents, including those with children who have additional needs, remain without any school offers.
Last year, the pilot project was responsible for admissions to four post-primary schools in the Tullamore/Killina area.
She says parents can't be stuck without a school for their children come the next academic year:
