The Slieve Blooms are in danger of becoming the "Wild West for reckless quad users".
That's according to Offaly TD Carol Nolan.
The Independent rep is engaging with Coillte, Offaly County Council and the Department of Rural and Community Development to address the issue.
She believes quads and scramblers are being used irresponsibly and illegally on bicycle and walking trails in the Slieve Bloom Mountains posing as a threat to walkers and wildlife.
