Tadhg Farrell and Mary Holt lost their lives during a house fire in Edenderry.
Offaly politicians at both local and national level are expressing concerns to Gardaí on community policing in Edenderry.
Garda Chief Superintendent Anthony Lonergan and Inspector Barry Collins have met with Fine Gael's rep for the town Noel Cribbin and Offaly TD John Clendennen.
It follows ongoing investigations into a fatal arson attack in the town that claimed the lives of 4 year old Tadhg Farrell and 60 year old Mary Holt.
The issue of providing a 24 hour serviced station for the town and the rising use of e-scooters in the town also came up over the course of the 45 minute meeting.
