Old Pipes Cause Serious Water Supply Issues To Midlands Irish Water Customers

One councillor says action is needed now as the issue has been going on for years.

Irish Water customers in North Westmeath are suffering serious supply issues due to old pipes.

Fine Gael Councillor Frank McDermott also says an old water pipe in the Ballymanus area has burst six times in two weeks.  

Homes and business were left without water for four days over the August Bank holiday due to a burst pipe. 

He says action is needed now as the issue has been going on for years:
