OPW Minister Rejects Claims Of Stalled Flood Relief Efforts

The Longford–Westmeath TD says he’s working daily to progress flood relief projects.

The OPW Minister is standing over the government's track record when it comes to flood defences.

Sinn Féin TD Pearse Doherty is accusing the Kevin Boxer Moran's department of having 'serious problems' and is accusing the State of making no progress on the issue since 2023.

The Longford-Westmeath TD insists he's doing all he can to develop flood relief schemes each day. 

Communities across Laois, Carlow and large tracts of the East and South East are recovering from flooding after consistently heavy rain in the new year.
