Orgnaisers say protesting will be a last resort.
More than a thousand people gathered in Westmeath yesterday to consider fresh protests over the cost of fuel.
The gathering took place at the Well Bar in Moate last night, organised by The People of Ireland Against Fuel Prices group.
People from across the country shared their experiences and the impact rising costs are having on their lives and livelihoods.
One of the organisers, Christopher Duffy, says further demonstrations will take place if the upcoming Budget does not deliver the action being called for:

The Taoiseach has said the Government will take a wide range of measures in the Budget to try to help people with the cost of living amid the energy crisis.
Micheál Martin said the Government has already met with a number of representative organisations and will continue to engage with them.
His comments follow the meeting yesterday.

Calls are being made for the removal of the carbon tax and further reductions on excise duty and Vat on fuel.
Hundreds gathered for a meeting about the cost of living in Moate, Co Westmeath yesterday, organised by those who led the fuel protests in April.
Organisers encouraged attendees to take to the streets again if their demands aren’t met in next week's Budget.

Longford-Westmeath Micheal Carrigy attended the meeting organised by The People of Ireland Against Fuel Prices in Moate's The Well, to hear the concerns of over 1,000 gathered people.
It comes ahead of the upcoming Budget, with the possiblity of further blockades and protests put on the table yesterday evening if measures to tackle the crisis are not put in place.
