People in the midlands are being urged to check their passports are in date before booking their holidays.
Figures from the Passport Service show that over 12,000 people living in Laois applied online for passports in 2022, with a further 11,300 applying from Offaly and 13,600 from Westmeath.
98% of online simple adult renewal applications are being completed within the standard turnaround time of 10 working days.
