Ballinamore in County Leitrim, at 104, had the lowest number of births.
CSO statistics show the birth rate per 1,000 of population was highest in both Ongar in Fingal and Tallaght in South Dublin.
Galway City Central had the lowest birth rate in 2021.
In the midlands, over 3,000 babies were born in 2021, the most in the region being in Westmeath at 1,235.
In Laois, 1,066 babies were born and in Offaly 975 babies came into the world.
