Over €100m Renovation To Westmeath Wastewater System "Full Steam Ahead"

Works began earlier this year.

A €114m upgrade to Westmeath's wastewater infrastructure is progressing at "full steam ahead."

Work on the massive project began in April this year, and will improve the water quality in the River Shannon and reduce the risk of sewer flooding to homes and businesses.

Tunnelling works have gotten underway, which will involve the installation of nearly three kilometres of new sewers.
