Patients Asked To Avoid Emergency Department Of Midlands Hospital

Management is warning the hospital is 'in escalation'.

Mullingar Regional Hospital is warning of busy conditions in its emergency departments today.

The hospital is in escalation and the teams are working to manage the current adult and paediatric in-patient and covid-19 bed capacity, together with scheduled care.

Patients are asked to consider alternatives before attending the emergency departments.

If you do come to the ED and are not triaged as seriously ill, you may be waiting for long periods to be seen.
