Staff are once again struggling to manage in-patient capacity.
Mullingar Regional Hospital is once again advising the public that its adult emergency D=department is busy today.
The hospital is "in escalation" as staff work to manage the current adult in-patient capacity, together with scheduled care.
Patients are asked to consider their options before attending the emergency departments, such as seeing your GP or pharmacist instead.
If you do come to ED and are not triaged as seriously ill, you may need to wait for a long period to be seen.
However, patients who require urgent care will be prioritised.
