People found to be non compliant will face a fine of almost €90.
The penalty for not complying with social welfare on finding employment while on Jobseekers is set to double to €88.
If a person on the dole fails to engage with employment support services on two occasions without offering a legitimate reason, the fee will be applied to their payment.
The measure is being introduced as part of Budget 2025 and is expected to take effect immediately.
