Mullingar Regional Hospital is asking people to avoid its emergency departments again today.

The hospital has released a statement to say its adult and paediatric EDs are both busy.

Staff are working to manage the current in-patient and Covid-19 bed capacity, along with scheduled care.

Patients are asked to consider alternative options before attending the emergency departments.

If you do come to ED and are not triaged as seriously ill, you may need to wait for a long period to be seen.
