People In The Midlands Being Urged To Conserve Water During Warm Weather

There has been an increase in demand due to weather conditions and children going back to school.

Uisce Éireann is urging households in the midlands to ‘Think Water Conservation’ due to the warm weather.

The State utility says it's seeing an increase in demand thanks to warm, dry weather combined with children returning to school.

It says shorter showers and fewer wash cycles are two ways of conserving water.

The organisation has no plans to introduce general water restrictions or hosepipe bans.
