People Urged To Check Vaccination Status As 10 Possible Measles Cases Under Investigation

One of those possible cases is in the Dublin Midlands region.

The HSE is urging everyone to check their vaccination status, as they're investigating a possible measles case in the Dublin Midlands region.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre's latest report shows there are 10 cases under investigation in the country, as well as nine confirmed cases.

There's been one fatality as a result of measles this year, after a man in Westmeath died last month.

Area Director of Public Health for HSE Dublin and Midlands, Dr Fionnuala Cooney, says if someone is unsure of their vaccination status, getting a third MMR vaccine is generally safe:
