People Urged To Stay Away From Open Water

The warning is to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

Water Safety Ireland is encouraging people to stay away from water across the May Bank Holiday weekend.

The group say the temperatures at inland waterways is still low, and can cause shock when someone hits the water.

On average 124 drownings happen in Ireland every year.
