Gardaí made the discoveries in two searches over the course of yesterday.

Six pipe bombs and €20k worth of cocaine have been seized in Ballinasloe.

Gardaí also found €9k worth of cannabis during a search of a home in the Menlough area of of the town yesterday.

Over €9k in cash and two mobile phones were discovered during a follow-up search in Loughrea.

Three women, aged in their 20s, were arrested following the seizures - one of those has since been released, with a file to be prepared for the DPP.

Eight premises were searched during the operation, with over 413,000 cigarettes seized.
