Bord na Móna first announced the plans for the project in 2020.
It's expected a planning application for a new windfarm in Offaly will be lodged next year.
The proposed Ballydermot Wind Farm project would be located in Kildare and Offaly, on the Ballydermot Bog.
The development would see 47 turbines erected, with an overall tip height of between 200 to 220 metres.
Bord na Móna says it expects to lodge an application with An Bord Pleanála in 2025.
Fine Gael Councillor, Noel Cribbin, says he expects little opposition from locals as the area is not primarily a residential zone:
