Whiskey distillers William Grant and Sons Limited are converting a three-storey admin building at its site in Clonminch, Tullamore into a tourist experience and shop.
Its previous visitor centre, at Bury Quay in Tullamore town centre, closed last October 2020, due to the impact of covid-19.
A decision on the project was delayed last month after Transport Infrastructure Ireland raised safety concerns regarding new signage on the nearby national roads
