Plans Submitted To Revive Fire Damaged Café In Laois

The Coffee Pot has been closed for over three years due a fire.

Plans have been lodged to revitalise a cafe which closed down after fire damage in Laois.

The Coffee Pot in Mountmellick closed in August 2022, after what was believed to be an electrical fault led to the blaze.

Daniel O'Riordan is seeking permission to alter facades, including variations to shopfronts, with plans to install new windows and relocate certain doors.

A decision is due from Laois County Council by the 2nd of January 2026.
