Anna May McHugh has been involved in the organisation for over 70 years.
The Managing Director of the National Ploughing Championships says they never expected the event to be as big as it is today.
Anna May McHugh first joined the organisation more than 70 years ago, and quickly rose through the ranks - being nominated for the top position in 1973.
She also holds the role of Irish Board Member of the World Ploughing Championships, becoming the first woman on the board.
The National Ploughing Championships return to Ratheniska from September 17th to 19th.
