Portlaoise Leisure Centre Not Reopening Next Month

Wednesday, 19 May 2021 15:15

It was hoped it would reopen in line with the lifting of covid restrictions.

Portlaoise Leisure Centre won't be able to reopen during the next easing of covid restrictions in June.

Laois County Council say it's due to a delay in materials arriving for work that is taking place onsite.

Director of Services Donal Brennan told councillors during the monthly Municipal District meeting today that the most likely date for reopening is July.

Portarlington Leisure Centre will be ready to open to the public in line with public health guidance.
