The Taoiseach will also be in attendance.
The President and the Taoiseach will be among those attending Ashling Murphy's funeral this morning.
The 23 year old teacher will be laid to rest following mass.
Six days after tragically losing her life along the Grand Canal in Tullamore, funeral mass for Ashling Murphy will be held in St. Brigid's Church, Mountbolus at 11 o'clock this morning, before she's laid to rest in Lowertown Cemetery.
The local parish priest and chief celebrant Father Michael Meade says it will offer Ashling's family and friends a chance to celebrate her life:
Among those joining Father Michael will be the Bishop of Meath, Tom Deenihan - while Comhaltas will provide a musical tribute.
Killoughey Community Centre Committee are among those helping to co-ordinate today's proceedings.
Secretary Judy Bracken has this advice for those attending:
Screens are being set up in Killoughey Community Centre, next to the church, and at Kilcormac-Killoughey GAA Club to accommodate the large crowds, and a link is also available to live stream the mass online.
As we lay our dear colleague, Ms. Ashling Murphy to rest today, on the 18th January 2022. We remember "Our shining light!!" Ashling will always be in our hearts. Fly high in the sky, our shining light, Ms. Murphy. We love you! ❤️❤️❤️https://t.co/xwMR6jeU0R via @YouTube
