Property Tax To Remain Unchanged In Offaly

It was increased by 15% last year.

Property tax in Offaly will remain unchanged next year. 

Councillors voted down a proposal to reduce the rate by fifteen to two at a meeting this afternoon. 

Twelve months ago representative's increased the charge by 15%, generating an extra €750,000 in revenue. 
The Birr Destination Town project, the link road in Edenderry, and the Tullamore street enhancement scheme are some of the projects which benefitted from the move.
