Proposed Wind Farm Aiming To Power Almost 40,000 Households

It would see eight new turbines built.

A proposed new midlands wind farm is aiming to power nearly 40,000 households every year.

Gaeltacht Energy Developments wants to build eight, 200 metre high turbines at the Cush Wind Farm, which would be based near Birr in Offaly.

The developer says the project will produce 187 gigawatt hours of energy annually.
