Excavators were brought into a quarry between Blessington and Baltinglass yesterday to search for clues about the killings of the women in the 1990's.
A small number of forensic specialists have returned to the site here at a quarry in Castleruddery in west County Wicklow.

Its the first time there has been any suggested link between the murders of Ms Dullard and and Ms Jacob who disappeared 3 years apart in Co. Kildare.
Jojo Dullard was 21 when she vanished from the village of Moone in 1995, and Deirdre Jacob was 18 when she was last seen outside her home in Newbridge in 1998.
The operation, which began yesterday, is the first time both investigating teams have jointly focused their efforts on one area of land.
They continue to appeal to anyone who may have any information, regardless of how insignificant it may seem, to contact them.
