A large number of Durrow residents met on Monday to discuss the issue and raise awareness.
The Transport Minister is being urged to meet with a local campaign group which wants to see a long-awaited midlands road project re-instated.
The Durrow Community Development Group held a packed meeting this week, which heard concerns about near-accidents on the N52 Kilbeggan to Tullamore road.
Plans for the new intersection were first mooted in 2009, but funding has since been withdrawn for the project.
