They thought the website was genuine after seeing a "testimonial" from Michael O'Leary.
A retired couple who were scammed out of over €30,000 are warning of the dangers of investing money online.
They engaged with the online investment company thinking it was legitimate - but the testimonies from Irish celebrities, including Mullingar's Michael O'Leary, were false.
The fraudsters downloaded a software on the couple's computer which gave them access to their bank details and they carried out a calculated robbery over a number of months.
