4.7kg of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of over €94,000 was seized
Over the past week, commencing 16/02/2026, Revenue officers seized contraband with an estimated value of over €135,000 in various operations in Dublin, Kilkenny, the Midlands, and Rosslare Europort.
The detections were made as a result of risk profiling and intelligence led operations, and included the following:
- 4.7kg of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of over €94,000,
- 2.4kg of cannabis resin, with an estimated value of over €14,000,
- 1,698 assorted tablets, with an estimated value of over €4,000,
- Various other illicit drugs, with an estimated value of over €6,000,
- Tobacco products, with an estimated value of €9,345 and representing a potential loss to the exchequer of €7,145,
- Over 84 litres of alcohol with an estimated value of €1,485 representing a potential loss to the exchequer of over €925 and
- 23 counterfeit items with an estimated value of over €7,000.
The herbal cannabis and illicit drug seizures were made as a result of risk profiling. The parcels originated from Canada, the US, Thailand, Spain and France, and were destined for various addresses nationwide.
The counterfeit goods were seized as they were confirmed by the Rights Holder to have infringed on Intellectual Property Rights. Two weapon accessories were also seized.
Investigations into all seizures are ongoing.

The alcohol consisted of wine and spirits.
The tobacco products were branded Hookah Tobacco, Platinum, Terea, Swisher, Captain Black, Gudang Garam, Winston, Marlboro, Pall Mall, Karelia, Camel, The Good Stuff, El Nardjass, Golden Virginia, Amber Leaf Hand Rolling Tobacco, Marlboro Gold.
The various illicit drugs consisted of ecstasy, edibles, cannabinoid vape liquids, reefers, synthetic cannabinoids, butane honey oil, cannabis oil.
The counterfeit goods were Asics, Alexander McQueen, Canada Goose, Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Dior, Hermes, New Balance, Polo, The North Face, Timberland, Tom Ford, Ugg.
The two weapons consisted of a knuckle duster and a rifle magazine.
No further information is available as investigations are ongoing.
