SETU Researchers Recognised For World Class Work

Five researchers from the University have made it on to the Stanford Elsevier list.

Five researchers from SETU have been recognised among the world’s most influential scientists.

Prof Marie Claire Van Hout, Prof Gillian Gardiner, Dr Sweta Rani, Dr Wanan Sheng and Dr Marcos Mariano are included in the Stanford Elsevier World’s Top 2% Scientists list for 2025. 

The Stanford Elsevier list is considered one of the most authoritative benchmarks of global research impact. 

The list is updated annually, using comprehensive citation data to reflect both long term and year specific scholarly influence.
