The union have been raising concerns for months.
SIPTU workers at Bord na Móna recycling have indicated to the union the recycling company is up for sale.
The company is the last waste collection organisation in Ireland to not be brought into the private sector.
Concerns have been raised about the suspected sale for months, with calls on the Government to intervene.
SIPTU Transport, Aviation, Energy and Construction Divisional Organiser, Adrian Kane says this in in contrast to other countries where a move is being away from privatisation:
In a statement to Midlands 103 from Bord na Móna, a spokesperson says: "Bord na Móna’s strategic review of its recycling business is still in progress. Further comment cannot be provided on industry speculation concerning its outcome."
