Statkraft Ireland is looking to construct eight, 180 metre-high turbines on a 80 hectare site near Clonmellon and Delvin.
An Bord Pleanála says the Knockanarragh Wind Farm would have the ability to power over 36,000 homes, and would generate 185 construction and 21 permanent jobs when operational.
