Taoiseach Not Ruling Out Reappointing Cowen And Troy To Cabinet

Micheál Martin commented on the matter while visiting the midlands this week.

The Taoiseach hasn't ruled out reappointing Barry Cowen and Robert Troy to Cabinet.

Longford-Westmeath TD Troy resigned as Junior Business Minister two weeks ago, following controversy over his failure to declare ownership of a number of properties.

While his party colleague, Laois-Offaly's Barry Cowen was sacked as Agriculture Minister in 2020 after it emerged he received a drink driving ban in 2016.

Speaking in Offaly, Micheál Martin and Deputy Cowen both commented on the likelihood of the midlands TDs returning to ministerial office:
