Longford-Westmeath TD Troy resigned as Junior Business Minister two weeks ago, following controversy over his failure to declare ownership of a number of properties.
While his party colleague, Laois-Offaly's Barry Cowen was sacked as Agriculture Minister in 2020 after it emerged he received a drink driving ban in 2016.
