Staff at the mine have been out of work since last June.
Workers in Tara Mines have been left in a state of uncertainty about whether or not their place of work will reopen, according to Sinn Féin.
Staff at the Meath site were temporarily laid off in June of last year after the zinc mine was placed under care and maintenance.
600 people were directly employed at the site, with an additional two thousand people indirectly employed.
