A teenage girl is being treated in hospital after a serious crash in Laois.

The incident occurred on the Stradbally Ballyroan road at ten to five yesterday evening.

She's being treated in the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore for what's considered to be serious injuries.

The road remains closed and is expected to remain closed for a number of hours.
