A teenager has died following a crash in Offaly last night.
Emergency services were alerted shortly after 11 o'clock after a tractor left the road and entered a deep drain at Black Castle Bog in Clonmore near Rhode.
The driver of the tractor, a teenage boy, was fatally injured. His body was taken to Tullamore Regional Hospital.
The road remains closed this morning while garda forensic collision investigators carry out an examination of the scene, and the local Coroner has been notified.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward and any road users with video footage (including dash cam) is asked to make this available to them.
