The 706 and 706X services Galway, Athlone, and Dublin.
The Transport Minister says the NTA will assess the need for a replacement bus service, after a route serving the midlands has been axed.
Aircoach announced the 706/706X commute between Galway and Dublin, which stops in Athlone, will no longer be operational after April 8th.
The decision was taken as the service has not proven to be financially viable.
Transport Minister Eamon Ryan says the National Transport Authority will make a decision on replacing the route in a matter of months:
