Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore is experiencing a very busy period due to high levels of respiratory illnesses, including flu and COVID 19.
Additional beds have been opened in the hospital to meet extra demands.
Tullamore Regional are asking people to consider their options before attending the hospital, such as local pharmacies, GPs or minor injury units.
Patients who require urgent care will be prioritised.
