The Technological University of the Shannon is set to receive over €1.3 million in student-support funding next year.
Minister for Higher Education, Simon Harris announced the third-level allocations today.
€1.1 million has been made available for the university's student assistance fund.
Students can apply for financial assistance if they need help with the day-to-day costs such as transport, rent, childcare, and college materials.
An additional €270,000 for a mental health and well-being fund.
Nationally, 21 institutions are in line to receive €22 million in student supports.
