Gardaí have made another drugs bust in the midlands.
€86,000 in cannabis and cocaine was seized and two arrests made, as part of an intelligence led operation.
A seach operation was carried out at an apartment in Portlaoise at about 10.30 on Tuesday night.
There, Laois Divisional Drugs Unit discovered cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of €72,500, a large amount of drug paraphernalia, and cash.
A man in his early 30s was arrested at the scene and is being detained in Portlaoise Garda Station.
During a follow-up search of a vehicle in Portlaoise, gardaí seized a further €3,500 in cocaine and over €3,000 in cash.
One man in his mid-30s was arrested. He's since been charged to appear in court at a later date.
Cannabis herb worth 10 thousand euro was also discovered during a second follow-up search in Ballinrobe in Co. Mayo in the early hours of yesterday morning.
