Investigations are ongoing following Monday's incident.
Two men in their 30's have been arrested in Westmeath following a garda chase.
The incident took place at around 3:30pm on Monday when a car was seen driving dangerously and failed to stop when directed to.
Gardaí pursued the vehicle which was brought to a stop in the Cloughan area.
One of these men has since been released and one currently remains in custody.
Investigations are ongoing and a file will be prepared for the DPP.
