Two Possible Midlands Measles Cases Under Investigation

There are 11 confirmed cases of the virus in Ireland.

Two possible cases of measles in the midlands are under investigation by the HSE.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre says 10 potential cases of the virus have been reported to the Health Service, as part of its latest weekly infectious disease report.

It states there are also four cases being investigated in the south east, two in the east, one in the north east and one in the south.

There are 11 confirmed cases of measles in Ireland, and one outbreak.

It comes after the virus led to the death of a man in Westmeath earlier this year.
