Uisce Éireann is announcing significant works scheduled for Laois over the course of the next year.
The project will see a major upgrade of the Ballyroan wastewater treatment plant, with work set to begin this month.

While the overall cost of the project will total €1,500,000.
The State utility says residents and businesses affected by the works will be directly notified, and service interruptions will be posted on the Irish Water supply and service update page.
