Installation of the units began last month.
It's hoped Ukrainian families will be moved into modular homes at a former midlands army barracks by the end of next month.
The installation of 50, four-person modular units at Columb Barracks in Mullingar began last month, and is now 'well underway,' according to the Department of Integration.
The site was chosen by the State as the first to test their current temporary modular accommodation plan.
The Integration Department says it hopes the first units will be ready for Ukrainian families in late August, or early September.
