The business has been in operation in the town for more than a decade.
A Westmeath company is closing it's doors after 13 years in business.
Brian Larkin, owner of Centrepoint Autos Athlone, has made the decision to shut, citing health concerns and a risk of missing seeing his boys grow up.
He also says rising costs are a contributing factor, particularly in labour and parts, which Mr. Larkin says have made the business no longer viable.
In a post on Facebook, he says it wasn't an easy decision, as the company wasn't just a business, but it was also his life.
He's thanking all of the garage's staff for the work they've done over the years, which he says made it so enjoyable.
