A well-known Westmeath businessman is planning to open a 10 million euro boutique hotel.
Ray Byrne expects the 50-bedroom development at the site of Goffs Bloodstock in Kildare to create 50 jobs and give a well-timed boost to the local economy.
The planning application was lodged with Kildare County Council last Friday, and a decision will by made by the end of April.
