Westmeath Council Gender Pay Gap Favouring Women In 2025 Report

The report found women earning almost 2% more than men.

Women are being paid more than men in Westmeath County Council.

The local authority's gender pay gap report for 2025 shows women are earning an average of 1.8% more than men.

That's despite a gender ratio of 58% in favour men against 42% of women working in the council.

Since 2021, organisations with over 50 members are legally required to prepare and publish a report on the gap and on measures taken to promote gender equality.
