The Mullingar rep says kids behaviour is impacting on businesses in the local shopping centre.
Parental classes need to be mandatory for parents of young offenders.
That's according to Leader of the Seanad, Jerry Buttimer, who is calling for a new strategy on anti-social behaviour.
Around 10 percent of offences are committed by minors and 30 percent of these crimes are carried out by a child under the age of 14.
Senator Buttimer says parents have to learn how to deal with this;
Meanwhile a Fine Gael councillor is looking for an increase in Garda visibility to cut out anti social behaviour in a Westmeath town.
Andrew Duncan says there has been youths outside Fair Green Shopping Centre entrance in Mullingar who are name calling when people are entering the building.
