Councillors in Westmeath say they're seeking legal advice over continued works on a planned accommodation centre for 1,000 male asylum seekers.
All representatives from the Athlone/Moate area have signed an open letter underlining their disappointment that works have not stopped on the Lissywollen development.
This comes after councilllors issued an order under Local Government Act to put a stop to the project.

The Athlone/Moate reps say they're considering all of their options and will be making no further comment.
