Westmeath County Council To Boost Housing Budget By 16% In 2026 Draft Plan

The overall budget is expected to go directly toward housing.

Westmeath County Council is set to increase its housing budget for 2026.

Its draft budget for next year outlines a 16% boost in its housing grants allocation for next year.

The overall budget is set to increase by €536,000, with the majority of that boost going into housing.

The town twinning fund will double from €15,000 to €30,000, while arts facilities are in line for an 11% increase in funding worth €27,500. 

The overall total stands at just under €5m.
