Westmeath County Council is set to increase its housing budget for 2026.
Its draft budget for next year outlines a 16% boost in its housing grants allocation for next year.
The overall budget is set to increase by €536,000, with the majority of that boost going into housing.
The town twinning fund will double from €15,000 to €30,000, while arts facilities are in line for an 11% increase in funding worth €27,500.
The overall total stands at just under €5m.
